Capoeira’s history diverges opinions and has a very broad definition. It is a sport, dance, culture, martial art, and many others. Capoeira is a very traditional Brazilian culture, due to this tradition, some concepts and training methodologies are grounded in the past, and more likely interpreted as out-of-date. The purpose of this study is to evaluate, in capoeira, the games approach methodology and to analyse the students’ perception about this methodology using their self-perception about a) motivation, b) quality of movements, c) fight tactics and d) decision making. This research abroad a mixed nature, with a preexperimental design. In order to acquire the data, the questionary was applied two times, at the beginning and at the end of the 12 sections of training using the methodology of games approach. A total of 10 students participated, who train at Capoeira Senzala group in Curitiba at night. They must be older than 18 years and less than 3 years of capoeira training. The data conclusion were made by using a proportional analysis. At the end of the research, the conclusion shows that were founded positive results, whether individual or group, after the training period. Period which was used the games approach methodology in order to teach a educational program applied in Capoeira. |
