The training density is known as the work: rest ratio, thus being able to manipulate this variable over the exercise, in programs of training of muscular strength may constitute an interesting strategy for muscular hypertrophy. The objective of this study was to verify if the density of the training of force interfere in the magnitude of muscular hypertrophy. METHODS: We used the 15 articles included in the systematic review of Schoenfeld., et al (2017) to carry out the current study. The main inclusion criteria were that articles should present more than one series, number of repetitions, recovery time interval and hypertrophy result. A total of 13 articles were analyzed. The density of the protocols was calculated from the relation between the total repetitions and the total pause established in the training protocols. Already the hypertrophy was calculated the percentage of increase between the end and the beginning of the training. RESULTS: The training protocol density was between 0.04 rep / s and 0.80 rep / s of pause, and the magnitude of hypertrophy was between 0 and 20%. It can be verified that the work rest ratio had no influence on the magnitude of muscular hypertrophy. |
