Resumo: Astronomy is a science that arouses interest from the beginning of civilizations, whether by the night sky, the movement of the stars, to the present day with technological developments or space travel. It is closely linked to physics and this can be a positive factor when it comes to teaching physics, as using astronomy to explain physical concepts may be of greater interest to students. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze how Astronomy is present in textbooks approved in the Plano Nacional do Livro Didático de 2018, following the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais do Ensino Médio (PCN+) and the classification table of Astronomy according to Bretones (1999). Specifically, the books analyzed were those aimed at the first year of high school, seeking to verify whether the approved works meet the PCN + in particular the theme Universo, Terra e Vida that deals with Astronomy. As a result it was noticed that there is a certain pattern about how Astronomy is approached and which content is more frequent. Another relevant fact is that few books fully contemplate the PCN+.
