Resumo: This study concerns a qualitative survey conducted in the city of Itaiópolis / SC, located in northern Santa Catarina plateau, whose objective was to develop and implement a Modern Physics and Contemporary teaching proposal for Secondary Education, based on the topics: Photoelectric Effect and experiment Double-slit, through ICT and experience at the State Primary School Virgil Lowland, answering the question: Is it feasible to enter the discussion in high school on the Modern and Contemporary Physics ICT-mediated and experiments, based on the effect of topical photoelectric and double-slit experiment in public schools? To consolidate research, data collection was done using audio recordings of instruments and a field diary. The evaluation and verification of the data were made via content analysis, from the audio transcript. Data collected during the survey provide indications that can be applied topics of Modern and Contemporary Physics in high school since the teacher implant a minimum teaching-learning methodology and use ICT in order to mediate the didactic transposition, thus facilitating student learning. The research also showed the importance of training of the teaching, so that it knows how to use it properly pedagogical tools, and finally also shows that it is feasible to apply the topics of FMC in school and its context, it should also be feasible to extrapolate results by applying the proposal to the rest of the public schools, except the minimum boundary conditions.
