Resumo: This study has a main goal to discuss oral and written productions of students from the pre-intermediate level, of the Português para Falantes de Outras Línguas (PFOL) course at UTFPR. The activities which were based on the theory of multiple intelligences (MI) by Gardner (1994,2001). The activities were elaborated by the researcher from observations of the classes, according to students need. The research was based on authors that use the theory of MI in different contexts, as in the works of Antunes (2001,2002), that applied MI in the classroom environment, Brunoski & Retorta (2010) and Kozievtch & Retorta (2010) who discuss the application of MI in the foreign languages teaching. Through the analysis of the results, it was possible to verify that the activities contributed for the learning process of the PFOL students. In addition, the researcher perceived that skills which were less practiced by the students have been enhanced through a methodology and planning which was addressed to their needs, based on the perception of both the mentor and researcher.
