The first one was written by Oscar Mendes in 1938, and the second one by Guilherme da Silva Braga in 2011, both titled O Morro dos Ventos Uivantes. This work focuses on fragments of the novel that represent the characters Hareton Earnshaw and Joseph and is based mainly on the translation studies of Baker (1992, 1993 and 1998) and Landers (2001). The corpus annotation was done according to the model of types of translational correspondence proposed by Thunes (1998) and adapted by Azevedo (2012). The results show that although Mendes’ translation did not adapt the Yorkshire accent of the character, its lexical choice may have helped with the characters representation. 2020-11-11T18:34:45Z 2020-11-11T18:34:45Z 2015-06-26 bachelorThesis CALDEIRA, Jemima Cristina.
