Resumo: This extended paper aimed at observing how the affective aspects are discursivized by the Elementary school Portuguese Language teachers. To do so, the research had as epistemic basis on the theory of affectivity by Henri Wallon (2007) and the concepts on utterance and its axiological horizon by The Bakhtin Circle ([1979]2003, [1929]2006). For this study, it was interviewed four Portuguese Language teachers. Two of them also produced a written recording of selected memories on the affective dimension of the teaching-learning process. The results of the analysis point to the discourse of affectivity as a positive aspect of teachinglearning process, what evinces the assimilation of the common sense discourse reuttered by the teachers. On the other hand, the utterances show a negative valuation of affectivity when the discourse regarding professional attitude permeate the teachers discourse.
