Resumo: We present in this work the main demonstration techniques in mathematics and we apply them to demonstrate some theorems of Euclidean Geometry. The aim is to highlight the importance of the demonstration in geometry classes in elementary school and in high school and also in mathematics teacher education. We finish by proposing activities for the classroom that address the concepts, principles and theorems presented and discussed throughout the work.
