Resumo: This paper presents a study on the resolution of nonlinear systems of type F (x) = 0, where F is a function from Ω ⊂ R2 −→ R2 , by Newton’s method. It contains a brief literature review of Newton’s method for one and two nonlinear equations. It discusses the concept and characteristics of fractals and presents some precursors models. An implementation of methods for nonlinear systems in R2 using the Matlab software are presented for cases of interest, considering the analysis of its basins of attraction and formation of fractals.
