The concepts of thermochemical as power, temperature, enthalpy and heat are abstract to the student, using them wrongly in everyday life. In order to make students better understand these concepts, this project was conducted in four classes of the second regular year of high school, two them in particular school Marcelino Beraldo, in Campina Grande do Sul, and another two in the Colégio Estadual Santa Cândida, located in the neighborhood Santa Candida Curitiba. First, an investigative written evaluation was carried out to discover the wrong ways that students interpret these concepts. Then performed a practice that uses an inexpensive calorimeter mounted by the students and their use to carry out a chemical reaction, and thus explain the concepts and calculations involved in thermochemical. A questionnaire to analyze the understanding of post-student experiment was performed for comparison. They were also checked as Thermochemistry appears in nationwide tests such as the Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) and the selection process of the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). With the acquired results it was observed that the practice elucidated the concepts used in thermochemical, and is observed that students were more interested in class when they were not mere spectators. |
