Currently, it’s possible to perceive a rise in global interest regarding the problems that affect the environment as a whole, including the excessive production and treatment of waste generated by industries, agrobusiness and others. The focus of many studies is the search for alternatives to reduce waste generation, as well as ways of treating these more efficiently. As alternatives, the enzymes arise, biological catalysts capable of degrading organic pollutants and industrial waste, which can be produced by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. Laccases, enzymes of great biotechnological interest that can degrade lignin, are secreted by white rot fungi when they are in the presence of lignocellulosic substrates and other inducing compounds. Therefore, the aim of this work was the production of an enzyme complex rich in laccases from a white rot fungus, Pleurotus ostreatus, by solid state fermentation (SSF) using bagasse from sugarcane as a carbon source. The methodology used for determining the enzymatic activity was the oxidation of ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis (3- etiltiazolina-6-sulfonate)). Through the full factorial planning 24 with four repetitions at the central point it was observed that the best condition for laccase production is at 7 days of fermentation where all variables were added to the medium (condition 16). The best activity was 833.83 U L-1. Through the statistical analysis was also possible to determine that the ammonium sulfate was the variable that showed more influence on the results. |
