Resumo: The Brazilian disabled population is mostly composed of low-income people, who do not have the financial conditions to acquire a quality functional prosthesis (IBGE, 2010). There was an opportunity for this work: through the additive manufacture and electronics, it is possible to realize the production of 3D printed prostheses with embedded electronics, which offers the user greater functionality and freedom of use. This work presents the study and development of a firmware controlled by voice commands, integrated with a mechanical prosthesis, created through additive manufacturing. Also will be discussed on the additive manufacture, maker movement and open source prosthesis projects. Having these technologies together, it can be seen that the aggregate cost is accessible, according to the problem presented, since the less favored social classes can finally be reached, giving them a new opportunity for freedom and inclusion in society.
