Resumo: This work is a cut of a master's thesis, in which a historical-social mapping of the growth trajectory of Programming Teaching in the national territory was carried out, which has been following global trends in coding literacy. The works published in the main teaching journals served as a basis for the data collection, where the qualitative methodology of content analysis was applied. The results show three distinct phases and a transition from this pedagogic practice of the Higher Education to Basic Education. A diversification in the use of technologies and an approximation of curricular contents through more playful and interdisciplinary approaches, such as the construction of games and robots, and the development of students' autonomy were found, giving the student the possibility of assuming a leadership role in the their own learning process.
