Next, we discuss more in-depth the video production aspect, presenting the central ideas of the project "Digital Videos in Distance Learning Mathematics", developed by members of the Computer Research Group, other Media and Mathematical Education. The project aims to investigate the production of videos with mathematical content by students, teachers and tutors, trying to understand how the video can be an expression of the knowledge of its producer. It is hoped that this article may instigate the development of research within the topic of videos, thus contributing to this investigative tendency within the scope of Mathematics Education. Neste artigo pretende-se, através de uma revisão de literatura, apresentar o uso do vídeo em sala de aula de Matemática. Dessa revisão encontraram-se três vertentes para o uso do vídeo: (i) gravação de aulas, (ii) vídeo como recurso didático e (iii) produção de vídeos. Em seguida, discute-se, de forma mais aprofundada a vertente de produção de vídeos, apresentando-se as ideias centrais do projeto “Vídeos Digitais na Licenciatura em Matemática a distância”, desenvolvido por membros do Grupo de Pesquisa em Informática, outras Mídias e Educação Matemática. O projeto tem por objetivo investigar a produção de vídeos com conteúdos matemáticos por estudantes, professores e tutores, buscando entender de que forma o vídeo pode ser uma expressão do conhecimento do seu produtor. Espera-se que esse artigo possa instigar o desenvolvimento de pesquisas dentro da temática de vídeos, podendo assim contribuir com essa tendência investigativa dentro do âmbito da Educação Matemática.
