Resumo: Teaching has been suffering the need of adaptation to the social and economic changes presented by our reality, mainly due to the intense presence of technologies such as the internet. Today teachers have different strategies available that can be used to improve and innovate their teaching practice. Information and communication technologies (ICTs), allow the use of several didactic-technological tools that transform the dynamics of learning, but there is a great difficulty for teachers to find quality materials ready and available in the internet. The study presented here was carried out in two stages: firstly, interviews were conducted with 12 Biology teachers from the cities of Dois Vizinhos-PR, Francisco BeltrãoPR and Verê-PR, in order to get their opinion about the animations in gif. All teachers commented that gifs could be created about animal physiology and that they would use these animations in their classes if they were available. With this survey were created six animations in gif. The teachers later received a guide that described the methodology used to creat the animations, so that teachers could understand the principle of gif and perhaps come to create their own animations. In the second stage of this research, a website was created which made the animations produced available for download; the users of this site responded to a questionnaire about the animations. There were 83 answers, in which it was found that 60.2% of the participants believed that the gifs created had high level of clarification, 37.3% average level and 2.4% low level; 96.5% of participating teachers stated that they would use these animations in their classes. Hopefully the material provided will be used by the teachers in their classes as tools to facilitate the learning of zoology content.
