The technological evolution experienced in recent years, changed the life style of today’s society and the way people have access to information, making the traditional classroom dynamic obsolete. Recently, diverse methodologies have been studied to minimize this problem, one of them is gamification. This technique’s based on applying game features in non-game environments, to captivate and engage the user, just like games do with their players. This document aimed to develop a platform that would apply gamification in class. During prototype development some features were added in their reduced version, because the development priority was the structure of the academic functionalities, however, the deployed gamification features have a framework that allows for future enhancements. To validate the platform, it was presented to the teaching public and subsequently evaluated using a questionnaire. It is concluded that the prototype developed during this study is a viable option and capable of applying class gamification, being necessary improvements and inclusions of resources to perform a practical test. |
