The use of educational tools in engineering is useful in consolidating classroom knowledge through hands-on experience. However, such teaching materials are not always available, because they are expensive or of difficult acquisition. In this way, the development of an educational tool for teaching control, accessible, modifiable and low cost, is necessary. Thus, an automatic wind turbine system is a valuable tool to facilitate the learning of some control concepts. Currently, there are commercial tools, such as the DT-CP038, but they are expensive and difficult to modify. Therefore, in this project it was developed a didactic tool of flexible and low cost control based on the implementation of a wind levitation system in order to assist the student in understanding some concepts such as: variables and elements, control actions and system identification. For this, the system has an ultrasonic sensor that determines the height of the sphere, and by means of a digital PID, programmed in a microcontroller, the intensity is defined for the actuator to correct the error between the desired and measured heights. The microcontroller is connected to a software interface that allows you to viewing and modifying some signals and parameters in a guided way. Thus, it is concluded that it is the prototype could be a good tool for the practical teaching of the discipline of control of linear systems. |
