There are countless problems encountered in the classroom. These problems range from structural factors to interpersonal relationships that occur in the school environment. The relationship between subject and mathematical knowledge is also influenced by these factors, what can sometimes be conflicting. We found students in the classroom who do not see mathematics as a goal in their lives. Through this research, we sought to understand how the desire (of the students) influences this situation and the role played by parents and teachers in this process (through the look of the student). The data collection was performed using a semi-structured interview and the analysis of such data occurred through an essentially qualitative approach. From these results, we hope to contribute so that the teacher can review their position in the classroom and return their practice to stimulate the student desire in order to accomplish the learning of mathematical contents. |
