Resumo: This research addresses the use of social networks in a practice of literary reading through the book "Vidas Secas" of Graciliano Ramos in order to use new technologies for education. It is prepared to do so, a didactic sequence based the theory of multiliteracies in the classroom, bringing a chance to exploit teachers of new technologies in their Portuguese classes (integration textual production / reading / literary practices). For this, we prepared a didactic sequence in which includes Facebook in a practice that incorporates text production and literary reading in high school in the face of a possible future application. For discussion and xemplification, the pages were actually created, serving as a template for educational professionals and / or interested in the subject. With the proposal, it is intended that the research collaborate with different professionals, in particular the Portuguese-speaking teachers, who are often reluctant to use networks in their classes for fear of disturbing or distracting the students.
