The present study aims at to investigate what characterizes the autism spectrum, as well as knowing the causes, consequences, diagnosis and treatment. Regarding the pedagogical characteristic vie intend to punctuate the role of family and school in the process of inclusion of students with this profile. Therefore, this research has a bibliographical character, with theoretical guided by contemporary authors who address the topic. We conclude that it is not possible to accurately explain the causes that leads the child to develop autism.But there are already studies that define autism as a “brain impairment that affects a person's ability to communicate, form of relationships and respond appropriately to the environment” (Kanner, 1943). With this research we realized that the first signs of a child with ASD may be perceived by the family since the early years of life watching their inter and intrapersonal relationships. We noticed also that the child with that character is more difficult to develop and consequently learn. Thus, we highlight the key role that school assumes that student to nurture the socio-affective, psychomotor and cognitive development. |
