Resumo: This work had as thematic fairy tales in order to explore reading interpretation and production of texts in the genre traditional fairy tales and contemporary, and followed the methodological procedure in Teaching Sequence. The exercise of reading these texts aimed to develop a taste for reading literary works in which students in one way or another, have not yet acquired the habit of reading. The contribution of traditional fairy tales and contemporary, put at showdown time, could help these students understand the complex relationship between reality and fantasy in the textual organization, but it can be taken as a parameter for analysis and reflection of human placements. Thus, analytical reading these tales allowed the students to lead a process of reflection and subsequent production of texts of the same kind, considering the diversity, internal dilemmas and overcome the difficulties surrounding these texts. Still, during the development of the research, provided the activities involved in students the ability to understand, reflect, interpret, perform activities using grammar exercises in context to argue and produce texts with world knowledge and context of each student.
