This research paper presents the theme of the interdisciplinary Environmental Education (EE) in formal education. It is clear that the environmental issue has been discussed and experienced worldwide. Education was included as a transversal theme, thus breaking down the barriers between disciplines in an interdisciplinary way. Therefore the general objective of this work was to analyze how the school and its education professionals has developed its curriculum in the context of environmental education from an interdisciplinary perspective determines how the National Curriculum Guidelines. The research was conducted at the Escola Municipal Thereza Colette Ometto, Municipality of Araras/SP with teachers from 6th to 9th grade of elementary school. The analysis and data collection was done through a questionnaire to teachers, for better understanding of how EA has been contextualized within the disciplines of Basic Education. It was observed that the EA is not only this school 'Utopia". Even with some resistance and difficulties in integrating it into their curriculum, the school has been working together with teachers and students continuously, its implementation in the classroom and in their practices, through actions and educational educational proposals, integrating so all faculty, students and community. |
