Resumo: Faced with the apparent difficulty of the fourth and fifth years of elementary school to perform the mathematical operation of multiplication, due to the lack of memorization of the table, causing errors in the execution of the algorithm, this work aims to present some possibilities of working in the classroom. Classroom so that the teacher can help his students memorize the tables. This research of a qualitative nature was carried out with the teachers of a school of the Araras Municipal Teaching Network, where questions about their pedagogical practices were approached, and then suggestions of a methodology and technique of memorization to be applied with the students. The proposal presents a new stimulus to students to memorize the table, thus optimizing the resolution of the multiplication operation. Therefore, it was concluded that the applicability of the presented mnemonic process can allow the students a more visible, concrete and pleasurable way to solve the operation of the multiplication.
