The pursuit of higher education in Brazil has increased considerably in recent years. The Accounting Major offers a range of job options that implicates in a major with high demand. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a search in the faculties at Paraná Southwest area for diagnosing the curriculum of Accounting majors. The study was carried out in documentary form with research in the curricula published on websites of the 13 institutions that offers the major in southwestern Paraná region, these five proffer the course in distance mode. The main results of the survey show that in general all institutions are in accordance with the guidelines recommended by the Federal Accounting Council, as well as the resolution of the National Council of Education. Regional and also institutions structure characteristics make some courses are not equally offered by all, however, no loss of academic training. |
