Resumo: This specialization thesis consists of a bibliographic search, which was based on three digital repositories: Institutional Repository of the Federal Technology University – Paraná (RIUT), the Institutional Digital Repository of the Federal University of Paraná (RDI) and the Institutional Repository of Geosciences (RIGEO). After defining the researched sources (academic publications in the three repositories), the next step was to delimit the scope of the research. For this purpose, all publications that used augmented reality on topics related to geography have been catalogued. Geography application areas were chosen, such as: geography teaching, urban planning and cartography. The correlation with geography came from the curriculum of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) Geography Course. Although some works classified within cartography also have a geoprocessing features, it was decided to frame them in cartography, due to the predominant use culminated in maps. In order to better acclimatize the reader, a small approach was made on the following themes: digital repositories, cartography, geoprocessing and augmented reality. Next, the methodology applied in the research was presented, then the results and, finally, the conclusion which points out that in this universe of research there was a greater number of works related to cartography.
