Currently they have been widely used, mainly in the automotive Industry. In this sector, which ones are special allies for better vehicle performance. The manufacturing process for obtaining parts for this industry can range from powder metallurgy, forming, machining and die casting. The object of study in this work was based on a part of the aluminum car industry, manufactured by pressure injection, that failed during a forming process in which it was submitted. Through the simulation of Ansys [trade mark], metallographic test, MEV test and Vickers test, it can be concluded that in the alloy cooling process there was the emergence of type α intermetallic, being considered extremely hard. Also from this bias, it was seen that in the forming process there was a tension concentration in the bending region, pointed in the simulation, causing a significant increase in the number of disagreements. As the intermetallic particles are fragile, it can be concluded that the failure process starts in them. |
