In Brazilian agriculture, the intoxication of bees by pesticides was exclusively related to lethal exposure and currently, the concern is increasing with the possible consequences of sublethal effects that can affect behavior, development and the immune system. This work was developed to evaluate the toxicity of the herbicide glyphosate on the behavior of worker bees of Tetragonisca angustula. Survival bioassays were performed by exposure to ingestion, in different concentrations found in the literature. And it was verified the interactions between bees treated with herbicide and untreated, to evaluate antennations and tropallaxis. In the bioassays, the decay of survival was explained by the time of exposure, with an increase in significance in relation to 48 hours (p <0.01) for all concentrations. Variations between the antennations were found significantly in the behavior between the type of NTNT interaction of the control group with the TNT interaction of the group treated with the herbicide (p <0.05) and between the first and second observation times, significantly decreased the number of antennations (p <0.05). While, for trophallaxis, there was no significant variation between the data obtained. The results suggest that the herbicide glyphosate remains to be said if it is and cause negative impacts on the behavior of the population of T. angustula. |
