Resumo: Sanitizers are routinely used in poultry abattoir in the process of cleaning equipment to avoid contamination during the production process. The lack of hygiene and leads to misuse the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, mesophilic aerobic bacteria and coliform. So it is important to know the effectiveness of sanitizers used in the abattoir, as many of these bacteria end up acquiring resistance to some of these products. The present work aims to evaluate the efficiency of sanitizers Bracsan, Enztrat®; Chlorine; Whisper; B-Quart-Sept®, Polyhexamethylene biguanide and its action against the following microorganisms: Staphylococcus sp (positive coagulase), E. coli and Salmonella sp by means of antibiograms. The methodology used was on disk diffusion test. Data were analyzed by Tukey test at 5% significance. The results showed that the use of sanitizers, specifically for the refrigerator under study being effective for disinfecting microorganisms such as Salmonella, E. coli and Staphylococcus spp. Highlighting Bracsan as the most efficient for the three microorganisms and Enztrat as efficient only for Staphylococcus sp. These results suggest that the company should better analyze the cost-effectiveness of each of the sanitizers applied, since there may be unnecessary expenses, which may be an unnecessary cost for the industry. However, it is suggested that new reps should be performed to prove the test since it requires an on-site monitoring of the action of these sanitizers. But in a preliminary way, it is concluded that Bracsan has the highest efficiency against the tested microorganisms, while Enztrat the lowest. The others have different efficiency for each of the tested microorganisms.
