Resumo: A child with autism spectrum syndrome (ASD) has difficulty socializing, so he may have difficulty maintaining emotional contact with his parents or other children. The communication of ASD patients can be very limited, reaching the point where the child does not speak a language. Another characteristic that the autistic person can present is the understanding of gestures and imitations, which ends up making contact with others difficult. This study consists of a bibliographic search and aims to show the importance and need for the diagnosis and rehabilitation process in TEA based on scientific advances in the area.Thus, to incorporate children with ASD in mainstream schools, there is a need for a reorganization and adaptation of the school environment, but mainly of the teaching staff so that a better development of their abilities occurs. Despite its limitations, it is essential for its growth that the autistic person is treated in the same way as other students. Therefore, the promise of language and social interaction is the key to seek different clinical and educational methods for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in social life.
