In recent years, while the industry in general in Brazil retreated, the food industry managed to grow in the midst of the crisis, generating greater revenue. With the growth of the food industry, there was also an increase in the number of waste disposed of by them, in addition to an increase in the consumption of water and electricity. As a way to protect the environment, it is interesting that companies have a sustainable vision of growth, including the environmental cause in their management, in order to avoid risks to the environment and the ecosystem. Within environmental management, a strategy that can be used to deal with such an increase is Cleaner Production (P + L), which aims to reduce or eliminate waste, waste generation and consumption of water and electricity. This work is a survey involving three companies in the food industry, in order to analyze their attitudes towards environmental issues and possibilities of applying a P + L strategy. waste in two of the three companies, after an interview with the company and the application of a questionnaire, in addition to the possibility of reeducating companies in the environmental issue, so that the changes can observe as opportunities that the implementation of an environmental management system can bring different forms. |
