In this study, the impact of the PhyloCode on the scientific literature was analyzed from the appearance of its first proposal until the year 2021. The areas that most assimilated the proposal, the criticisms over time and whether there was growing adherence were investigated the use of this proposal to the present day. The analyzed data were obtained from the Web of Science database, where 121 articles that used or discussed the PhyloCode were found. The search terms used were PhyloCode* and PhyloCod* and the parameter year of publication (2000-2021). The results suggest that despite the criticisms of PhyloCode, the proposal was used in research in several areas, such as Zoology and Botany, and to a lesser extent by Physiology, Mycology and Ecology, as an alternative to the Linnaean category system. Most articles were published in the area of Systematics and Taxonomy, and discuss the functionality of the proposed code. Despite the proposal's potential, its acceptance by science can be considered relatively low and still generates discussions, just like any scientific novelty. Em 2000, tornou-se público o primeiro rascunho do PhyloCode, um código de nomenclatura alternativo que não segue os ranqueamentos lineanos e baseia-se nas relações dos táxons nos cladogramas. Neste estudo, analisa-se o impacto da proposta do PhyloCode na literatura científica, desde o surgimento de sua primeira proposta até o ano de 2021. Foram investigadas as áreas que mais assimilaram a proposta, as críticas ao longo do tempo e se houve adesão crescente ao uso dessa proposta até os dias atuais. Os dados analisados foram obtidos na base Web of Science, onde foram encontrados 121 artigos que utilizaram ou debateram o PhyloCode. Os termos de busca utilizados foram PhyloCode* e PhyloCod* e o parâmetro ano de publicação (2000-2021). Os resultados sugerem que apesar das críticas ao PhyloCode, a proposta foi utilizada em pesquisas de diversas áreas, como Zoologia e Botânica, e em menor número pela Ficologia, Micologia e Ecologia, como uma alternativa ao sistema de categorias lineanas. A maioria dos artigos foi publicada na área da Sistemática e Taxonomia, e discute a funcionalidade da proposta do código.
