Resumo: The present work aims to establish connections between the BNCC and some international curricula. For this purpose, we sought, initially, to establish some curriculum selection criteria, which are, focus on skills development, better performance than Brazil in PISA, in addition to characteristics such as: proximity to Brazil, membership of the OECD, availability of access to curriculum documents. Thus, curricula from three countries were selected: Chile, USA and South Korea. Therefore, a bibliographic survey was carried out to understand the terms that guide this work, such as curriculum and competence. Based on these documents, analyzes were carried out on the curricular character guidelines for the development of the mathematics curriculum. Finally, through this analysis, connections between the BNCC and selected international curricula can be inferred, both for the general curriculum and for the mathematics curriculum. As some connections that were found, we can mention: existence of a base document, from which educational institutions prepare their curricula in accordance with the school reality; existence of very similar terms in these documents; and curriculum guidelines for mathematics centered on the development of core competencies/skills.
