Resumo: The Informational Design is extremely important in the Product Development Process, because it makes the connection between the customer and the development team, assuring that the voice of the customer is heard and incorporated in the best way possible on the final product. This study addresses the use of the Informational Design as part of the development of a wheelchair, having the wheelchair user as the customer. More specifically, the user who has to move in the city autonomously and suffers with the lack of infrastructure and mobility difficulties. This study connects the wheelchair user with the development team, transforming the user needs into final engineering requirements in the wheelchair. These requirements, are then hierarchized by the level of importance, with the use of tools such as the Mudge Diagram and QFD (Quality Function Deployment), improving the decisionmaking process during the implementation of each one of these features. The results obtained consist of a set of technical specifications and their respective target values, which provide the product development team with a recommendation for the criteria that must be prioritized during the development, so that the product addresses in the best way possible the customer necessities that were previously obtained.
