Resumo: In search of a better quality of life, people are increasingly committed to finding immediate solutions to some of their problems, many of them related to food, which in turn has to be quick and healthy. Thus, many end up resorting to probiotic dairy foods and, in particular, to probiotic fermented milk. In most companies, the only form of contact/communication with the consumer is through the label and this must be prepared based on a series of legislation in order to provide information to the consumer without, however, leading them to misunderstandings or mistakes. Therefore, the objective of this work was to verify if the labels of probiotic fermented milk sold in supermarkets in the western region of Paraná in accordance with the legislation for labeling food products. To this end, a checklist was drawn up based on current legislation and the labels evaluated in relation to this tool. It was found that of the twelve labels of probiotic fermented milks of different brands, eleven (91.66%) had some type of irregularity. Therefore, more studies are needed and the use of these by companies in order to adapt the labels to the legislation, supervision of Organs responsible bodies, ensuring the consumer's safety when purchasing the product.
