Resumo: |
This research aims to discuss the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as educational allies in the teaching-learning process of the English Language. The rapid technological-digital transformations that society has been going through make it necessary for teachers to keep up with them and, moreover, have the ability to use these instruments in classes as learning facilitators. To reflect on the importance of these elements in English language classes, conceptions by Motter (2013), Costa (2013), Moraes (1996), Paiva (2013), Moreira (2015) and Zbalza (2004) were used. From these perspectives, we sought to observe, analyze, and reflect through reflective diaries how the learning of students in a multigrade class at a rural school, in the southwest of Paraná, is impacted by the use of technological tools. Data were collected from September to October 2022 from classes in the 6th and 7th grade of elementary school in a rural school of Pato Branco. From this, we concluded that ICT can and should be present in the school context with the objective of (i) qualification as pedagogical practices, favoring teaching-learning process; and (ii) expand students' knowledge, making them able to use it in the most diverse interaction contexts, both digital and analog. However, it was also concluded that only using this type of instrument in the classroom is not enough to guarantee learning, especially when we are talking about less privileged classes and with particularities in terms of access to school and the internet. |
