Resumo: This work aimed to apply an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tool in order to build concepts related to Materials Science and it is justified by the search for a more attractive way, like using a blog, to give webquest activities and to assess the content of the subject. Data analysis approach is considered qualitative, descriptive and its research procedure adopted is classified as action-research. It was verified that students consider the tool application as a benefit to the learning development process, but they also consider that the presence of the teacher is necessary for the learning orientation. Among the more relevant aspects listed by students at the using of the tool for teaching Materials Science subject are the learning promotion, recuperation and assessment, and the inclusion characteristic as the student is not eliminated when does not have success in an evaluation and has time to return to the worked content, at his/her pace. Finally, students consider that the work done by webquest is very criterious and demands better organization from them.
