In Brazil, grains account for 23% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product), which represented a production of 233 million tons in 2017, of which 2 tons were buckwheat. In view of this scenario, the present work aims to identify the potential uses for products based on residues obtained in the processing of buckwheat. To achieve this objective the characterization, categorization and classification of uses of products obtained through buckwheat residues were carried out. From the preliminary analysis, the existing actions for different uses were raised according to literature review, state of the art and characterization. For the survey of the state of the art, the Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, Springer Link and Lens Scholar databases were used in this research. For the state of the art, the bases of the INPI® - search in patents deposited in Brazil, Latipat - search in patents of Latin America and Spain were used, Patentscope - international search in the base of WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), LENS® and Derwent Innovations Index (1963- 2018). This work proposes a method of analysis of the potential use of industrial products, in this context, the equation is applied to buckwheat residues. The calculation proposes that the technological potential is equal to the percentage of royalties established by the Ministerial Order of the Ministry of Finance nº 436 of December 30, 1958 multiplied by the results obtained by the product or sector in the Survey of Innovation (PINTEC) carried out by the IBGE in 2017. Finally, a Once the categorization and classification were carried out, we started with market validation in companies and research centers that develop works with buckwheat seeds and their products in Brazil. In this study, in the context of Production Engineering, the potential of specific components present in buckwheat with use of residues, application in medicines, hygiene and beauty products and the feeding of humans and animals with products for the public with food restrictions , as well as celiacs, diabetics and hypertensives, people interested in having greater health in their diets. Among the categories of food, we highlight foods for humans, animal feed and fertilizers. |
