It discusses the concepts of discursive genres and official education documents as well as their relationship with the teaching of the Portuguese language. It brings as a result of the study a panorama of the discursive genres presented in the National Common Curricular Base to be worked in the discipline of Portuguese. The results obtained when analyzing the discursive genres taught in the discipline of Portuguese in elementary school I and II were that the discursive genres are organized by fields of daily life, artistic-literary practice of study and research, media journalistic of public life and of acting in public life. There is a great emphasis in multisemiotic genres and aspects related to the multiple traits, mainly in elementary education II. Esta pesquisa apresenta uma abordagem teórico-conceitual da questão dos gêneros discursivos para o ensino fundamental I e II e que estão presentes na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). Discute os conceitos de gêneros discursivos e os documentos oficiais da educação, bem como sua relação com ao ensino de língua portuguesa. Traz como resultado do estudo um panorama dos gêneros discursivos apresentados na Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) para serem trabalhados na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa. Os resultados obtidos ao analisarmos os gêneros discursivos, ensinados na disciplina de Língua Portuguesa, no ensino fundamental I e II foram que os gêneros discursivos são organizados por campos de atuação da vida cotidiana, artístico-literário, das práticas de estudo e pesquisa, jornalísticomidiático, da vida pública e da atuação na vida pública.
