The Science fairs are presented as an invitation to open all the windows in student interest and curiosity, creativity and mobilization of the teacher and the social function of the school. So, it can be used as stimulating to help in the training of teachers in science education. Thus, the aim of this study was to report a case study of teacher training in elementary school, in the area of science education. Specifically, a training which aimed to prepare teachers to better guide the students work on developing a science fair. For this, a sequence of collective training was prepared and developed with the goal of making the teachers had a better understanding of the steps of preparing a science fair project and, indirectly, to move ahead in knowledge about science teaching. With the presented results was observed that it is important to develop events such as Science Fairs. But as important as the event itself, is continuing teacher training preceding the event. It was that brought self-confidence for teachers to develop their work with students. And hence more quality for the showed work. |
